My Father

You are my father
The one who left me
I never even met you
How awful can you be
I wondered all my life
If I was even loved
Apparently not
You're only dreamt of
I don't know who you are
For we are far apart
But even though you left me
You are in my heart
I bet you never think about
That day you left me alone
I was so young
But Dad now I'm grown
You make me think I'm worthless
Nothing but a waste
For in your heart I'm nothing
But an empty space

    Sad poem, but very well written. I didn't really know my dad till was about 13 and yea I'd rather not know him... so I know how you feel, but perhaps you are lucky to have never met your dad because ,you're right, he probably is awful. Barely want to leave this comment, but I will 5/5
