Longing for My Escape [Running]

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Sep 16, 2006

Anger echoes in the room,
As I gasp for air.
The endless tears I've cried,
The raspy screams,
They all poison my veins.

Anger blasts through the speakers,
As I try to numb the rage.
The fury runs through my veins,
Poisoning my judgement.

Longing for my escape,
I try to focus on it.
I try to remember
The adrenaline rush;
The freedom;
My feet pounding the asphalt;
Sweat dripping down my body.

As I lace my shoelaces,
I step out the door.
Pulsing the anger running
Through my veins,
I let it all go once more.
