The Robot Set Me Free

by Tom Cheriyan   Sep 16, 2006

One day I went to my room,
And found a person sleeping in my bed
I looked closer, who it was,
Just to find it was me.

I was amazed at this sight,
Perplexed a bit,
What a fright,
I told him to get out of bed,
To my amazement he did.

I told him to scratch his head,
In no time he did exactly so,
He did not seem aware of me,
Seemed to do exactly what I said.

I was overjoyed,
For I had a toy,
A remote controlled robot,
My body for this world.

So I made him jump through hoops,
Train him for life on earth,
Kept him fit to run around,
Mentally and physically too.

I wanted him to do good for the world,
Help people out,
Be useful throughout.
Being a robot he had no brain,
So no baggage,
No strings to restrain.

I guided him to avenues useful,
Gleaning knowledge,
Learning still,
Where there was a blockage in any form,
I guided him away,
To new friendly turf,
Where knowledge and harmony existed,
For my growth sake.

It was with ease I guided him,
From person to person,
Place to place,
No shyness or fear of rejection.
I enjoyed this game,

For maneuvering was easy,
Moving from zone to zone,
Very much like a computer game,
I confronted people, where,
I found wrong,
Those hurting the world and community on the whole,

Suddenly I felt strong,
With no fear of self,
Absolutely empowered,
By the robot I controlled.

Then my whole life,
Turned into a game,
Using creativity to advance levels.
I felt liberated,
So very free,
Living life ethically,
Through this robot,
Using inherent creativity.
