Arrogance

I wrote this for my English class for our vocabulary... It's not my best; I just wanted to put it up. If you don't like it, tell me why.

' An arrogant mind,' he once said,
' Is a clumsy life that's led.
Should you be braggart in any way
Could be most insolent to that person's day.
Should you swagger upon your walking
Or sound egotistical in your talking -
It would make one contemptuous to anybody,
So don't be ostentatious, disdainful, or haughty.'

' A narcissic mind has much to say.'
Said that man the other day.
' To ruin one's day, be complacent
And you'll soon loose another's patience.
And if you are supercilious or pretentious,
May you lose someone's trust.'

' So I'll end my tale by telling you
If you're presumptuous in all you do,
No one will like you
So heed my words for they are true.'
