Your Love Was The Death Of Me

by mellmer   Sep 23, 2006

Tear my heart in two,
Then throw it to the floor.
Don`t even try to pretend,
You don't want to anymore.

Do it, do not worry,
For I'm already dead.
My poor soul died just months ago,
Because you didn`t care.

So now you stand before me,
A teardrop down your cheek.
You smile sadly and whisper,
Words you cannot speak.

You wish you hadn't done it,
You`re sorry and you`re down.
You really did just kill me,
Now here, please take your crown.

You walk away and shout,
And wave your arms up high.
You`re happy and excited,
And yes I did just die.

Now tell me how you feel right now,
Happy, sad, confused?
You cry about my death, dear boy,
You leap and scream with joy.

I guess you really meant it,
Or maybe it was a mistake?
Whatever it was, it does not matter,
For it is all over and is done.
