Be Free

by Bill Turner   Sep 27, 2006

Prince of Darkness sings of witches and black masses
Ozzy grown old, a caricature of his past
Hair pulled back, wearing reading glasses
Not so much a family as an ensemble cast

Steven Tyler living his life clean
Turning the corner on days long since passed
What does all of this really mean?
He will not take a shot, no more being gassed

Time catches up with us all
You can out run everything but time
Your deeds, big or small
Disappear into life's rhyme

Icons keep showing their age
Liver spots and spittle in the air
Gone is their youthful rage
Replaced with graying or missing hair

Take a look at what you have become
Is it the person you wanted to be?
You do not have to settle for a life of numb
Let yourself be free
