Sugar Rush

by Chris Rodriguez   Sep 28, 2006

Like a painful sugar rush
It travels down your spine
You fall down and well out of sight
You lose control
Worse than a seizure
Deadlier than a bullet
You're all alone
And you can't understand why

That moment will finally come
When you'd rather be numb
Then feel anything at all
You start to believe no one can understand
And at heart everyone is a killer
The sickness isolates you
Keeping everyone else away
Trying to make sense of today

Always bracing the morning tides
Keeping everything on the inside
You're creeping in the corners of my mind
I bet you didn't know
Your status can't give sight to the blind
