Prayer in the night

Words were spoken,
hearts were broken,
you and i both know that wasn\'t the Case, we both preferred our own space.or so i thought? but that was a lesson i probably had to be taught..

why'd you leave me in the rain that night? i cant handle shame and i cant bear to fight, another day another night, another person to please, another day waiting for the light.

i wish you'd come back and hold me like you use to do, just the sky the wind and us two, you're gone forever or so i think, until i wake up and find a paper with your handwriting and ink.

so now I'll turn my head and dream again and when i wake, if i wake,
i pray that I'll see you again
