The New Her && Her Final Poem

Shes walking down the hall,
Listening to her music,
Her ipod in one hand,
Hair brush in the other

Jumping up and down,
Singing to the world,
Spinning round and round,
She feels privileged to be alive

She didnt think the day would come,
That she sung happy lyrics,
Her smile brightens up her face so much,
These days she has missed

She twirls,
Her skirt flowing with air,
Her mind finally blissfully unaware,
Of everyone elses problems

Somethings changed,
She doesnt know what,
Her attitude is so much more positive,
For a while she got lost

Cared only for others,
Never herself,
Now she cares for both,
Her smile widens

She missed to feel like this,
To feel joy and happiness
For so long she only felt pain and misery

She remembers:
Cutting her problems away,
Throwing up all the bad,
Flushing them down the toilet,
And coming so close to giving up.

She remembers:
When the day turned into weeks,
The weeks turned into months,
The months turned into years.

She Smiles,
All of that, she doesnt miss

Even though her life,
Is far from perfect,
Shes decided to be positive,
Not give into anything.

She wont give into the urges,
She wont give into the thoughts,
She wont give into the lies,
She wont give into the actions.

There is something she will give into though,
And you want to know what that is?
The Happiness.

This girl is finally ready to give into the happiness.
