Broken Angel

by No1ButMe   Sep 29, 2006

The darkness of the forest calls me
Footprints of a being that was once there
I feel her spirit within the trees
Its becoming greatly dark beyond compare

I'm longing for just a small ray of light
To find my way along this hidden path
I stare deep inside but gaining no sight
I dare not stand up to the forests wrath

The eerie sound of thee unknown
Glistening eyes haunt me beneath the stars
I must not let my fear be openly shown
I gaze above for someone to take me afar

I wish so much for a match
Set my world of darkness into flames
Sprinkle leaves of magic upon my arms
And softly say "things will change"

I can feel her within the wind
Take the thoughts away with ease
Pieces of my life like broken glass
That leave cuts wherever they please

Little pebbles beneath my feet
That disappear into a black hole
Razor-blade kisses and a dark embrace
Cover me, devouring my soul

A moonlit path miles away
Formed by delicate white feathers
Look into the dew upon the leaves
My reflection once so clear, now a blur

Shadows engulfing all that's left
Falling into an endless grave
Black tainted heart
Why am I someone she refuses to save

Tears stream down left in silence
I notice a sound among many things
No one here to help me
Then appears my angel with broken wings
