You were gone too soon
You're too far away
You can't make me smile
Or come over and play

I'm lost without you
Come hold my hand
Lead me along
I'll follow you to the end

I need your stories
I crave your laugh
I can't bare to think
That time was your last

Your face is fading
In my mind
Can't you smile
Just one last time?

Your heart beat
Pounding so loud
Let me get closer
To drown out the sound

You were gone too soon
You're too far away
you can't make me smile
Or come over and play

A tear blurs my sight
A shiver runs through me
My heart shatters
Deep down inside me

The sweet music you sang
I play again and again
Your talent was matchless
We can only pretend

Under your fingers
The piano was grand
A heart could be warmed
By one touch of your hand

You were gone too soon
You're too far away
You can't make me laugh
Or come over and play

    "You were gone too soon
    You're too far away"

It's so painful that i can relate to these words in such a way i've never felt before.
You were right in your comment, it doesn't matter about the flow or grammer, it's the heart that went into it that counts.
Thankyou for your kind words Midnight.
If you can get through it, so can i. (I hope)
    5/5 as always

I can sense you miss him so much in this poem. It's nice that poetry allows us to get out our feelings like this. Sometimes poetry is just something we do, and other times it's something we feel. This time it's something you felt! Nice job! Jpoet*
