Her Night

by brianna   Sep 30, 2006

Breathe,
wipe your tears.
no use for sorrow,
he has come.
\"young girl, you are beautiful\",
daddy loves her much.
she puts on the mask,
surely nobody will see.
slippers fit for an angel,
mom picked them out.
"be careful, we love you",
she looks with a smile.
never so proud,
had her parents ever appeared.
she walks out the door,
jumps into the car.
smiles as they pull away.
a giant sign reads:
"life, five miles ahead"
he pulls to the side,
tells her he loves her.
gives her a ring.
they pull off,
for the unknown.
they exit left at mile five.
she had her senior prom,
with her man, hand in hand.
nobody knows,
exactly how much she loves this man.
"lets hit a party",
he says to her.
they go together, have a little to drink,
he vomits a little.
they decide to leave,
taking the exit, to the interstate.
he pulls out to slow,
its almost to fast, they are in the ditch,
"I love you forever",
he says with a wink.
in time he expires, she goes to get out,
hears a crack.
