I Don't Think You Know

by Jemma   Sep 30, 2006

I'm not sure how I feel right now
Now that nothing's black and white
And everything's flipped upside down
And sets my heart alight

Flutters in my stomach
Butterflies flying high
The tensions of a lifetime lost
In that one blissful sigh

I don't know what to think of this
And how I feel about you
All I know is that seeing you
Feels so right and true

And yet it scares me
How I feel inside
Such intense emotion
That I have no chance to hide

I'm scared what they shall think of me
I'm scared of what you'll see
When you just one moment
To see what is really me

When we talk I feel so content
Just us two alone
And yet as friends we stand
Whether I want more I think I know

So you fill my dreams
And flicker in waking hours
I keep my heart locked up
In the tallest guarded towers

And yet, like for ages past,
As the prince of fairy tales
You capture it even so
And hold it as your own
And even now, I don't think you know

**OK i know this isn't one of my best. I've sort of lost touch with rhyming poems. I've drifted into freeverse now. However i just had to write this. I just had to try and express it**

Very nice, even without a rhyme. :) A lot of meaning conveyed eloquently.
