Heartless night

The tears on my chin is freezing to ice
I'm sick and tired of telling myself lies
I'm running barefoot in the snow
Tormenting myself for letting you go

I see your shadow way up ahead
I'm screaming I never meant those words I said
I run and run trying to reach for your arm
I hate myself for causing you all this harm

I scream and cry until my throat gets sore
As I realize I won't get to see you any more
Slowly I can feel the darkness closing in
As I'm imagining all the things we could have been

I see your shadow disappearing out of sight
Leaving me alone in the heartless night
The snow gets thicker and I can no longer see
Anything that lies ahead of me

I try to walk but my body is falling apart
Nothing ever works with a broken heart
The harsh wind is trying to bring me down
I slip, and I hit my head on the ground

Half awake and half passed out
I realize that there's no need to shout
So I close my eyes and try not to cry
As I whisper the night my last goodbye

    After thinking about it I let my boyfriend choose a title, seeing how the poem is about a dream I had about him...

    Hey that poem is really good i know what u are feeling with letting someone u really love go. it hurts more then u can explain. but yeah here are some of my ideas for ur title:

    1. whisper my last goodbye

    2. ive let you go..so my last goodbye shall follow.

    3. never relised u ment this much.

    4. My last goodbye with my broken heart.

    and yeah thats all i can think of! good luck with the name and keep up the good work with the poems!
