In the Cold

by Kathryn   Oct 1, 2006

Let me sit here in the cold
Life is but a freeze,
frame of an emotion
a motion of pain
passes by my eyes
as i sit here and shiver hopeing to die
don't worry about me
my life is in pause
the pain you showed me
reflected by someone elses eyes
he will hold me close
bring me in for the cold
my choice of death destroyed tenfold
i'll know a new love
one you had let go
but show no pity
for it will go...by...
as I sit here by a fire
needing to cry
however tears do not follow
and the pain is now irrelevant
with a last thought
to a love once known
i say
you let me sit there in the cold
life was but a freeze,
frame of an emotion
a motion of pain
which shall pass...
but this time my eyes shall be closed.

I really like your poem, gives me shivers. It would be an awesome lyric to a song. Its very powerful and very deep.
