Playtime

by Ruthie   Oct 4, 2006

I wrote this poem 4 a bit of fun cause I was bored on day and yea lol I hope u like it :)

Woke up this morning
Ready 4 bed
When suddenly realised
My old big ted

Sitting on my feet
He smiled his old grin
Studying me carefully
While rubbing his chin

"All right lads"
He yelled to the door
In marched my toys
As he jumped to the floor

In neat little rows
They lined up my room
I just had to laugh
Until I heard a boom

"Silence" yelled ted
"That'll be quite enough
We're here to rehearse
You sit tight and don't huff"

In shock did I sit
With no words to speak
Trying to think
What I'd done this week

Nothing to merit
Or in the least explain
This latest twist
That puzzled my brain

I couldn't stand it
One moment longer
So I took advantage
Of being bigger and stronger

To my surprise
They were taller than I
Big Ted leaned in
Til we were eye to eye

"Squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak"
Was all I could say
This wasn't at all
My luckiest day

He shook his head
And picked me up
Then sat me in
My dirty old tea cup

Soon I was spinning
So very, very fast
I wondered how long
this could possibly last

I wake with a start
It's half past 10
And here's big ted
On my bed again*

Up go the covers
Over my head
I think it's time
I stopped playing in bed

again* pronounced "agen"... rhymes with 10... that's how lots of Aussie pronounce it *grins*
