I Killed a Man Today

by Chris W.   Oct 5, 2006

(!!WARNING!! Not for people with weak stomachs. I know because I'm one of them; and I grossed myself out.)

I killed a man today.
I swear it was self defense.
I knew I was in the right,
when his body got all tense.

He came into my house,
to see what he could get.
He didn't know I had a gun,
and the safety wasn't set.

I heard him slowly enter,
he woke me from a dream.
I snuck around quietly,
my instincts were so keen.

I found him in my living room,
looking through all my things.
A new rage felt inside me.
Like I was the King of Kings.

I held my gun up high,
he drew a frightened breath.
Something surprised me to,
that I wasn't ready for his death.

New feelings aroused in me,
ones that I never knew.
Like how much fun it would be,
to eat his insides like a stew.

I thought of Hannibal Lecter,
I never knew I was like him.
I craved this mans flesh,
was this a mortal sin?

I felt myself get excited,
I hissed an evil hiss.
Then I shot him in the leg,
and planned out all my bliss.

The pain knocked him out,
which made it easier for me.
I dragged him in the kitchen,
and put on a kettle of tea.

I hauled him onto my table,
and went and got a knife.
What should I eat first?
was my only inner strife.

I started at his lower neck,
sliced down like gutting a deer.
The man started to come around,
and screamed in agonizing fear.

I shoved a rag in his mouth,
I just wanted him to watch.
He could see all his blood,
as i cut down to his crotch.

The man passed out again,
this time to never wake.
I reached down deep inside him,
trying to see what I could take.

I started with his pumping heart,
a meaty delectable treat.
Pleasure ran down my spine,
from my head down to my feat.

Blood pouring down my face,
I can't possibly drink it all.
After I slurp down his veins,
his bones I begin to knaw.

Hours went flying past,
my feast continuing on.
I knew I had to hurry up,
and bury him before dawn.

I drug him to my backyard,
blood still covering my face.
I buried him under my apple tree,
It seemed like a decent place.

Many days have gone by,
since my feasting night.
whenever I see another person,
I experience a new delight.

So I put an ad in the paper,
"nice man looking for a date."
next day I got a call from a girl,
so I started to plan her fate.

I have to agree with Aunabeth. It reminds me of a modern Tell Tale Heart. Very gory and it made me feel a bit scared. Fantastic work, I know its already been said but I just have to emphisize it; your very talented, keep it up. Oh and your going straight to my favorites! =DD

This was the first gory poem that actually made me cringe. I like it. Very intense.
