Misplaced Words

by Michael D Nalley   Oct 8, 2006

Misplaced words and misplaced thoughts
Tie my heart in little knots
I sort them out with my intellect
To examine my feelings in retrospect

Words stick in my throat like a lump of coal
Some silence torments a troubled soul
My mute mind meditates as I begin to think
Passion in me needs to be preserved in ink

The rhythm moves me, and I flow with the vibe
Adding order to the words I choose to scribe
How sad to look where a poem should be
If misplaced words were all we could see

Undoubtedly a five here, great job again. One suggestion: "My mute mind meditates as I begin to think
Passion in me needs to be preserved in ink

The rhythm moves me, and I flow with the vibe
Adding order to the words I choose to scribe"
I think the rhythm of this section would be perfect if it was instead:
"My mute mind meditates as I begin to think
All of the passion in me must be preserved in ink

The rhythm moves me all around, and I flow with the vibe
Adding order to each of the words that I will choose to scribe"

The rest is awesome. Nice work.
