Sweet Dreams

Nightlight
Not powerful enough to light my heart
I need more
Her brightness blinds me
Can't see my feet
Or where I'm going

I'm tired
Laying, waiting
Eyelids heavy
But still won't close
So I write through my Insomnia
Put my dreams on paper

I would wake from my nightmare
If I were only sleeping
So I take each day
Objectives complete
All but a few
That I will never get done

I just want to taste sleep
