Take me to salvation

by David Barry   Oct 10, 2006

For a reason which i cannot figure
I only have one answer
to heal the pain striken by others
yet some would call it a cancer

damaging the body
it eats away at the liver
suddenly,
it shoots a sharping shiver

starts straight from the mind
strikes through the spine
followed by a vision of a vicious shine
is this a god choosing my time?

bring me to your kingdom
save me from this cage
our world is a hurtful place
it releases our rights of rage

i cry not for those I leave behind
as they cry not for me
I will use this to do as they did
it is now my turn to flea

please reserve me a place
time to open the golden gate
time to forget a pitiful face
end my life and end all hate.

Take me to salvation

    This was great.

I've never read one like this and I really loved it.

You seem to have the Irish talent that I only wish I had. It seems to have missed me. =)
