For all the times i watched you leave,

For all the times you weren't around,
I'm getting stronger and moving on,

The scars and breaks still remain,
reminding me of all the pain,

These steps I'm taking hurt so much,
I'm breaking down and losing touch,

I try to say the tears are through,

I try to pretend that you never mattered,
And i have to remind myself- This time it's for me,
All the things that we hoped to be,
All the times you just walked on by,
All the times you told your lies,
All the tearful steps that now seem so small,
All the times you didn't call,
All the times i tried not to let you see me fall,
I want you tell me all the things i always hoped you'd say,
I want you to tell me that it's all going to be ok,
But you don't and you won't so i have to walk away,
Constantly reminding myself to say...
