Edisto Romance (part 3)

by glass*wall*prison   Oct 14, 2006

I awoke the next morning
and i unpacked the car.
A suitcase full cloths
my skateboard, and my guitar.

These were the provisions
I had chosen for my stay.
My skateboard and guitar
always helped me get away.

One strum of my Ibanez
would rid me of all emotion.
Whenever i had an off day
it would put me back in motion

When i need to clear my head
I go out on my skateboard
Riding my mind of every thought
of yesterday or the days before.

This is how I'd clear my head
by my self alone in silence
This is how I'd deal with pain
instead of resorting to violence....
