Unfinished

by Jennifer Dziak   Oct 15, 2006

Sometimes she gets lost
And days are just too tough
sometimes the road gets narrow
And shes just had enough

But everyone tells her "Theres Hope"
So she keeps looking to the sky
Until one night she looks down
And realizes shes such a lie

She wants to fall in love
She wants to smile and mean it
But she cant keep living on hope
She knows what she must admit.

The floor is covered in blood
And she wonders from where it came
As a drop falls through the air
She looks to her arm in shame.

Shes holding it steady
Just another teen broken
She clenches her fists
As she cuts her arms open

it brought back the memory
that she was trying to hard to forget
oh well it's just one more thing
she's never been able to quit

Wow..... it brings your mind back to earth and off your cloud of pride and for all those who have cut in the past it truly is a way to show that someone understands .... as your poem said, it brings back a memory... well this poem seems to bring back the memory to alot of people.
