The world

by A Christoffer   Oct 18, 2006

Tear drops on the window
The thought of past memories
Rush forward with a tidal wave of emotion.

Look for a place to go
Slipping away what was free
The fights break off from the beauty of the ocean.

Always a one man show
The one the worlds wants to be
Feeling the after affects of that last potion.

Worlds value, quid pro quo
Lost in the endless debris
No one seems to know the meaning of devotion.

One final thought to know
Fill the heart with jubilee
To feel once again the whole worlds compassion.

"quid pro quo"...what does that mean? Anyways I really enjoyed this poem, although I was slightly confused as to what the theme was...because "the world" is pretty broad.
