My Sunshine

by Suri dawn   Oct 21, 2006

You are the key,
that opened my lock,
that opened my book,
that tickered my tock.

You are the tissue,
that dried up my tears,
that healed all my hurts,
that demolished my fears.

You are the sea,
that freed me to swim,
that lit up the sky,
that shone on my dim.

You are the sun,
that speaks to the night,
that shines down on me,
that makes my world bright.

You are my sun,
and you are my sea.
You are my tissue,
and you are my key.

But they took you away,
and won't let us be.
My lock is stuck,
I can't find my key.

I need a tissue,
to dry up my tears.
Now my sun is gone,
the dark feeds my fears.

They burned my book,
and snipped my lock.
They broke the time,
when they broke my clock.

It makes me scared.
It makes me sick.
But they all laughed,
when my clock didn't tick.

The night took over.
My world is now dim.
They took off my fins.
I'm unable to swim.

I cannot move.
I cannot breathe.
Can I just die,
and live underneath?

But I can't leave you,
even though you're not here.
You are always in my heart.
It's close,but not near.

I love you,and miss you.
That's all I can say.
No more tears or goodbyes.
We'll meet in heaven someday.
