Mortal Divinity

by Chris Rodriguez   Oct 24, 2006

I've got the world on my shoulders
She told me that I didn't have to carry that cross
Sorry girl, you've never felt true loss
The sounds on the street call me to move
My battle continues each day, my groove
The soldiers of truth carry their weight
Open your eyes to look beyond blinded sight
Be quick to choose your poison
The only way out isn't beyond the horizon
When will meets awareness freedom is found
To hear my passion through this sound

Weathered and bruised we still continue on
The pains and troubles that we know so well
Sometimes the days are so gray we can't tell
Look through me to see a fighter
Seek truth or burn your lies in the fire
Don't be another other, say what you know
Stand up always and never stay low
Life for all of us has just begun
Feel the weight of the sun
Let it carry you up until you understand
We're part of everything, even a grain of sand

Emptiness is just a phase
The truth is on its way
People who fight the world with hate
Don't have much to say
Those who suffer who hunger
Hearts only filled with hope
Cannot maintain
To be silent is to be chained
A person who walks even in darkness
Can make the world light up
Say what you believe or shut up

To live by blurred relativity
Mortal divinity
Is just temporary sanity
Let the free choose spiritual clarity
It's the light in you and me

Dang!!! Dude, a most impressive read indeed.
A very in-depth creatively penned view of
how all matter is part of the whole living or not,
and how man relates to one other in all walks
of life in the same fight staying alive never
giving up knowing there is hope as the end and
the beginning lives eternal in the precious light.

Excellent concept in a job well done and

    Awesome write!

    My fav lines were:
    Emptiness is just a phase
The truth is on its way

The imagery you create is so vivid, always a pleasurable read.
