Whoever Invented Lies

by Meet Me On Thames Street   Oct 25, 2006

Whoever invented lies
I'd like to yell at them
To tell them all the pain they've caused
Of broken hearts,
Emotions led
I'd yell for all the tears shed
By children who were hurt,
For all the lives lost
Of kids with no friends
But after this was done
And my anger all used up
It's strange to say I'd thank them,
For hope when there is nothing
And strength in the face of danger
For giving joy to children, on Christmas day
for giving us something to believe in,
When everything is lost
because though lies hurt
They also bring hope
and somehow, that's all that matters to me
that when the days done all won't be lost
and there may still be a chance
that you could love me
someday..

This is good- it shows both the good and bad sides of lying. I think that about lying, but really,'m too lazy to make a move. 5/5
