Death Angel

by robin milford   Oct 27, 2006

On his death bed he reaches out
the ones he loves are there
They can't take his pain
They can only try to comfort him
and tell him he's okay
As death's bony hand comes to him he cries for help
The love ones cry for
the man they remember
the strong spirit
frisky soul
As death's hand comes near
the spirit is drained from him
the love ones watch and pray
the death angel comes
then there are tears
for the man he was
and tears of relief for his pain is finally gone

dedicated to a friend who died of cancer
