Dark Dwellers (Ottava Rima)

by LadyPearl   Oct 27, 2006

Rise above the moon-carved trees
Swim beneath the fog-laid sky
Flow within the lost soul seas
Enchanted by some silent cry
Suffering a cold innate disease
Beyond the lines of human eyes
Frightful of the day's burning sun
Beginning only where night begun

Undefined creatures of the night
Cursed with blood tainted tastes
Wallowing deep inside Earth's fright
Living life by hugging wastes
Killed and hunted by a single sight
Misplace, Mislead, forever chased
Enternally fighting the demon within
Forever preying upon innocent skin

Shame I can't rate you more than a five, because you deserve SO much more than that. Ah, what a little talent-ling you are. When I have more time, I'll make sure to read more of your work, as it's so beautifully written.

Wow.that was almost scary. I liked the way you gave just enough description to allow the reader's imagination to run wild.
