Weeping Hearts

by Alexis   Oct 31, 2006

Can we weep for those that just don't care
Is there more to life than deep despair
What happened to love thy neighbor
War is death by dispassion's saber

Remember when we said hello
As we passed those we didn't know
We once lifted a helping hand
To those souls in need across our land

Greed and money have become our faith
Compassion has become a wraith
Can we dig deep for the love in store
Or has it too become a lore

Wow, this was an amazing poem. If everybody thought like you and saw the mistakes we're making as we change then we could fix things up and the world wouldnt be such a bad place. At the moment I think all we have is hope for change.

I have written about this subject one to many times Alexis and completley agree with you...as long as your one who holds you faith in God, your one less person we have to worry about in the world and thats always a plus! Loved this write..short and right to the point!

I can feel something really good coming from this, i just feel confused sometimes. Was the fourth line supposed to say war? Very good, but it just needs a little more articulation.
