Horror Film of Love

by alone in the crowd   Oct 31, 2006

An image scarred in the back of my eyelids
Memories seared into the rear of my mind
Each daydream scorched by a horror film
A reel of each moment you pretended to care
Each second that passes tortures me more
Knowing the horrible reality
Feelings molested by your pleasures
My heart engraved with your name
My soul embellished by your wants
You embroidered your words into my brain
Each sweet murmur held tightly within my thoughts
Grasped by the remembrances I cherished
Wishing that this death grip would loosen
The darkness creating an eclipse over my heart
Shadows freezing each curve of my body
You stamped pain upon my spirit
You imprinted night upon my day
My eyelids flicker and I remember
I can't escape this prison of memories
Forever trapped within this ache
