Let Death Take You.

by Simple Sensation   Oct 31, 2006

Grasp the knife
Slice the vein,
Let the crimson blood flow
And let the darkness overtake you.
Unconscious you lie,
Slipping closer and closer to death
Losing the grip on life,
And then, finally...
Death takes you.

This was a really nice poem. i would change these two lines though, change the second let. i think the repition of let should be there. or maybe you just need some rewording.

    Let the crimson blood flow
And let the darkness overtake you.

After reading the other poem, i expected more or less of the same. I knew this poem would be sad by the title, but i never guessed i'd have been overwhelmed by the powerfulness and words. well done
