I need you now
I need you to hold me hand
so i know that i haven't floated away
so i know I'm still alive
and still have feeling
I need you to listen to me
To listen to my silence
and my unspoken fears
I need you to say things to soothe me
I need you to stop the nightmares and dreams
so i can sleep again
I need you to change my thoughts
I'm so sick of hating, anger
I feel afraid
It will consume me one day

I need you to help me
I need to forgive
I want to forgive
I need you to fill the hollows in my life
in my body
I need you to stop the tears
they fall so freely now
they need to reason
I need you to believe in me
For I've lost faith in myself

Sometimes the pressure hurts
I feel it press on my shoulders
The responsibility is too much
for me
I need you to take away my past
and leave me with something clean
wash away my stains
my old fears refuse to leave me

I need you to do this
for me

but you can't
