Before High School

by BeautifulxMess   Nov 7, 2006

What happened to the little laughs?
The sleep-over parties we through.
Why aren't they that way anymore?
Now, I can't dare to trust you.

We were so happy in elementary.
Middle school came but we were OK.
It got worse until we were enemies.
That reason why I cannot say.

Boys became a part of life.
Grades, drama, new friends came.
Pressure of being the prettiest.
All the emotions made me insane.

Boy, after boy, after boy you went.
Me, I just tried to look my best.
You started to say some things.
Then, said I need a bigger chest.

Criticism always left your lips.
Starting with me, ends with a lie.
I can't keep you around me.
I feel like I'm a helpless fly.

You rip my heart out and let it rot.
Stomp on it and walk all over it.
It doesn't matter anyways.
You don't care I scream and cry.

I wish it could be like back then.
Back when lunch boxes were cool.
Back when boys were gross.
Back then before high school..

Aww so sad and cute, but true for so many friendships. one thing i didnt like-You rip my heart out and let it rot.
Stomp on it and walk all over it.
    It doesn't matter anyways.
You don't care I scream and cry. the rhyme scheme here became inconsistant. its not abcb like the rest, other than that the last line makes no sense. Back when before high school..
i'd lose the when, but then its too short, so just try to adjust that.
