Is Happiness Real?

Finally mind is unperturbed, worries fly free like a bird,
The world is effulgent with life, darkness cast away,
Finally happiness accepted him, he soars upward,
The painted world he longed to feel, is hear at last,
Finally he lives like his dream, lost within a word,
The sweet life of summer is here.

Forgotten anger recedes, its weight lifted,
No longer must he crawl, trapped in spoilt hate,
Joy whispers sweetly, insecurities tended,
Golden sunlight warms his very soul,
Memories swim through the air, crafted,
By the once free and powerless mind.

To feel nothing but good, cleanses the soul,
United is the world, united with ignorance,
There is now no woes, now he is whole,
Elated once again, for he is noticed,
Free from the tyrant of his minds control,
Calmed by the company of those trusted.

Finally he laughs, for he is happy,
All fear of future trial has receded,
The world laughs with him, sweetly,
Summer holds such comfort,
To live for the now, to live deeply,
But memories of pain must be respected.

Although he is happy, resent tears inside,
The relentless lust for what he once felt,
Deep inside he knows his mind is in divide,
Happiness but lives in the days light,
Happy thoughts were false, they all but lied,
He must always return to what he is.

Happiness is subject to a minds ruling,
It seems but pain alone is eternal,
A true happy ending is always evading,
For few have ever found it,
He will be forever teased, forever chasing,
A perfect happy ending.
