Her Tears Were Like the Rain

by Hope Bound Heart   Nov 8, 2006

I stop and watch the wind
Blow through the grass with ease,
Watch as it touches everything,
The pond, the flowers, the trees.

I sit and watch the sun
Warm the clouds in the sky
Watch as it wakes the flowers
Touching all who are not shy

I sit and watch the rain
As it touches everyone
Like a bully crashing down
It blocks away the sun

The rain makes me uneasy
It makes my heart race
It soaks all those around
And drips down my face

The rain drops taste so bitter
They make me very Irate
They fill my soul with emptiness
And conquer my heart with hate

Why is it that I love nature
But I seem to hate the rain
This is because of my past
And of all my angry pain

Her eyes are what emptied me out,
Filling my life with pain
The reason I abandoned myself
Because her tears were like the rain
