Physical Attraction

by LockedInEternity   Nov 8, 2006

The whole world is shallow
Lets just face the fact.
Isn't a person on this land,
Who an appearance won't distract.

One look at someone's body,
And your hormone levels rise.
The physical appearance,
A personality's disguise.

Look at boys checkin' girls.
And girls checkin' boys.
"Looks" play with your feelings.
Like children with toys.

Love comes within seconds,
With just one shallow look.
You barely even know them,
And see how long it took?

What a good-looking figure,
Wouldn't get you in our time.
People fall down at your feet.
To look so good feels like a crime.

But without physical attraction,
It wouldn't be much fun.
No longing in your hormones,
For your eyes, no dazzling stun.

No sensational feeling,
Would enter our brain.
No hunger for sex.
Everything would be plain.

Physical attraction is like,
Toxin in our mind.
Relationships start failing,
Without it there to mend and bind.

With every picture you see,
Every step that you take,
You judge based on looks,
The pre-decision you make.

There isn't a person,
Who an appearance won't distract.
In a shallow world we live.
We just have to face the fact.

That is soooo true. How many people fall for someone just because of their looks? And how many people get hurt bacause they are not the best looking person. Trust me i know that feeling.
    Great poem. 5/5
