A Delicate Rosebud

by .K.i.T.t.Y.   Nov 10, 2006

If you go to a place off by the coast,
You'll discover a small run down cottage,
Surrounded by a garden.

A garden of pain,
Death,
And neglect.
If you walk into this garden surrounding the cottage- you may
Only if you squint your eyes hard enough-
You may find the start of a
Beautiful,
Young,
Delicate rosebud,
Trying to fight its way towards the sun.

Striving hard to reach the top,
And trying to make its better best,
But no matter how hard it tries,
It's always being pulled down.

Yet the bud remains optimistic,
Knowing that one day it will grow over the dying poisons,
And it will be one day adored by people from near and far.

Every thorn,
Every weed,
Tries hard to crush its dreams,
But no matter what the bud strives to reach the star,
Hoping that one day you'll pick her.
