The one sacrifice

by Mitchel   Nov 10, 2006

He wandered through the shadow of his mind, finding a painful memory.

Fear, anguish, and sorrow overtook him, and destroyed him from the inside.

Holding a knife to his heart, and a will in his hand, he hesitated.
Screaming,
he wailed the pain in his soul.
A girl rushed in the room,
but by then it was to late.

He plunged the knife into his heart, feeling the cold steel slice through.

As his body hit the ground,
the will left his hand
and the winds whispered what he wrote:
"Do not cry for the unworthy, for my only wish was to make this sacrifice. As it was for the only girl I loved."
