Love is a Silent Killer

by Shannon   Nov 13, 2006

You did it again!
You walked in,
And then you walked away.
You said, "You don't know who or what I am".

I know I loved you!
I know what I felt,
If it's not love,
Then fill me in.

You can't live like this?
What is "this"?
You said you loved me,
Then you turned your back on me.

Instead of loving me, you push me away.
Is me loving you not enough?
I loved you without question!
I loved you without conditions!

You said, "I'll learn to hate you".
How can you hate, what you never really had?
The tears come swift, and the pain is sharp.
Cutting deeper into the layers of my heart.

Love is a silent killer!
It pulls you in and then spits you out.
I am left empty, hollow and shattered.
All thoughts of you are gone.

All that remains is what used to be.
