Love has no boundaries,
Love has no convictions,
Love has no expectations,
Love is not a burden.

Love offers happiness,
Love offers shelter,
Love offers peace,
Love offers hope!

We love our children,
We love our family,
We love our friends,
We even love one another.

As humans we are capable of setting the standards on who we love.
What we don't know is how to stop the pain associated with someone who does not love us back.

We cry
We scream
We sob
We yell
We hurt
We lash out

After all, we are only human,
We do not have all the answers.

When we say, "I'm sorry", what are we really sorry about?
Are we sorry for pushing love away?
Are we sorry for calling our feelings a liar?
Are we saying our hearts have betrayed our minds?

NO!

We should be sorry for not giving love the benefit of the doubt.

We tell ourselves that love is a gift.
It allows us to feel what we are incapable of feeling when it is not in our hearts.

When the mind weighs in, love becomes the burden.
It tricks us into hurting without remorse.
It tricks us into feeling unlovable, inadequate and cold.
And the heart then becomes the victim of our mind.

The mind is a terrible thing to waste we're told, but what is living without love?
It's a cold dark place without happiness, shelter, peace, hope or faith.

Time heals all wounds,
But what if time can't heal all wounds?
Does that damn us to an eternity of immortality?
Do we die baring the scars of our unhealed wounds?

What if one lifetime is not enough?
Does that entitle us to an unlimited lifetime warranty?
Do we keep trading our souls in for another until time does heal our wounds?
