Something Inside

by DarkPoetess   Nov 14, 2006

Something inside me screams to be released
Its roars and rips and tear refuse to cease
It's fighting for the freedom I crave
Pounding at these incessant walls it cannot stave
Something inside me is filling my soul
And thundering aloud at the gaping hole
Rising against the deadly odds
It strikes out with the swiftest rod
Something inside me is trying to drown
The rest of me who's been let down
So finally it may meet and take revenge
upon that poor soul my broken heart to avenge
Something inside me takes over for a moment
The lover in me is caught in torment
Ripped apart by this contrary possession
Time for me to make a confession
Something inside me so strong
Protecting and protesting it does belong
Not locked away so I can reminisce
But those memories will surely not be missed
Something inside me so strong
Is ready for the pain to be gone
