Gay Pride {Ottava Rima}

by xTheEcstasyOfSuicidex   Nov 15, 2006

Note: This -is- about being gay and being hurt by the discrimination people give. If you are against gays, do not downrate this poem. I feel very strongly about it. Thank you.

When sorrow lies etched deep within your mind,
And within a soul is ruined by fears,
Eyes tell a story interesting to find,
Of adoring love between two who are queer,
Shunned by all acceptance they will still bind.
To their one and only they'll shed these tears,
Holding love in their arms - it'll be alright,
Take pride and dignity and hold on tight.

    I completely agree with you on this one, it is pathetic how society discriminates against poeple with different sexual tendencies. It's cruel, narrow-minded and just plain wrong, in my opinion. I'm glad you wrote about a topic with such relevance to society, and it's brilliantly written, too. *claps*

    Eyes tell a story interesting to find"

    Keep it up
