Painted Peacocks

by LadyPearl   Nov 15, 2006

Sapphire jewels stroked
across an Asian vase
Splashing hues upon its
circular base

Emerald tails emerge
Then two golden eyes
Facing each other in silence
as love arise

A beauty drenched without
a single word muttered
Beneath the early sun
respect flutters

First a bow, then a dance
Flying across the stone skin
In a lover's intimate glee
as their world spins

This is the first poem of yours I read, and you're already on my favourites. As a friend of mine loves to say; I'm floored, man!
