Time of Your Life

If you could travel a thousand miles
where would you travel to?
If you were to jump into the sky,
what would you jump for?

Who would you turn to for help
when life gets on your back?
How many times will you cry
to get what you use to have?

Ask yourself "Who Am I?
Where Am I going to be?
Am I going to fail?
Will my life succeed?"

You can find yourself on the ground
and still don't know where to go.
You can see a thousand miles,
but don't know whats behind it all.

You can't depend on everyone,
because someone will let you down.
Find your inner strength to carry on,
and you'll soon come back around.

Don't give up for life is just a test
to see if you have what it takes.
Life won't be perfect and all that
for you can't help your mistakes.

Take a deep breath in with the new
and release the old and start over.
Keep your head up above the wold
and show them who you really are.

A wish and a dream aren't your goal
There's a symbol of what you want.
They can come true if you try,
but you CAN'T give up on life.

Be optimistic with your outcome
and keep the positive in mind.
For you may not live tomorrow
just have the time of you life.

    I LOVE THIS POEM! It's one of those rare pieces that gives you the warm-fuzzy-feeling-I've-gotta-go-out-do-something-righteously-inspirational kinda poems. 5 from me, and again AWESOME WORK! *prances around throwing confetti*

    I enjoyed reading this poem a lot because it's true. You should always try to have an optimistic outlook on life and I think that is something important to be able to have the "The Time of Your Life". :)

    ^ By far my favorite stanza. I think it's because I can relate to this one a lot because I have made my fair share of mistakes in life so far and I'm still a teenager! :) Lol, anyway, I really did like the point of this poem that you were trying to get across. Great flow and choice of words too! :) Loved it. Keep writing. 5/5
