Insomnia

by Strange Angel   Nov 18, 2006

Dark and empty
Tangled sheets, they anchor me
Binding me to the conscious plane.
I cannot leave.
I cannot breathe; escape,
Can't fly this world to run and hide.
I cannot sleep.

Restless, turn and tumble
Darkness screams but dreams avoid.
Once again I stir and walk,
Pace the darkened halls.
Tiredness creeps through every vein,
But guilt and tension bind me.
