In My Name

by N J Thornton   Nov 22, 2006

Portrayals of an inspired mind.
Made not by one anima,
but by the many,
which sit amid my thoughts.

The visions etched with
syllables and rhythm
are beyond my years --
Yet, natural to my head’s
literate whispers.

Captured conversations
that I solely heed (within)
are cast into ink to be
recognised in my name.

**Just about the "voices" within which I believe write my poems for me.

Wow. that is a nice poem. I think there may be a typo, i'm sure it is recognized (the spelling). and there's one line that i feel needs another syllable. "literate whispers." it's just the way i read it. kept making me think whisperers. but i dont know if thats a real word. haha.

thanks for your comment on as you walk. i fixed the ending, well typos i found. maybe thats what threw you off. feel free to read it again. i hope its more clear.

I love this poem. i like how you didnt just use "everyday" words. you actually used words with meaning. and i love how with your work you actually need to think about it. i love the poem. great job.
