Thank You Mom

by BeautifulxMess   Nov 24, 2006

You brought me into this world
as a fragile helpless child.
I'd play around and run about;
I was so free and wild.

You saw me take my first steps,
and heard my first little word.
You saw me grow into a kid
and the pain must have hurt.

I'm not a little baby or
a cute little girl.
I don't wear ribbons and bows,
but you'll always be my world.

I'll always be your first child
and nothing can change that.
I'll always love you and no
one can take those words back.

You're a great mom for me,
I may not show it like I should.
You keep me safe under your wing,
and you always do what you could.

No one can take the place
that I have for you.
Mom, I'll just want to say,
Thank you for helping me through.
