Hear Me Out

by Carrie   Nov 29, 2006

I know I've made my mistakes

And done so many wrongs

But please just hear me out

As I sing you this song

I've said the words

And done the mistake

But do you have to judge me

For the road I never wanted to take

I just want another chance

A chance to show you the real me

Not just the person you knew

Or the person you may see

I know I've made my mistakes

And done so many wrongs

But please just hear me out

As I sing you this song

I can't deny the things Ive done

For I have failed not only me but you too

With the expectations I never made

And the situations I was put through

I said the words and did the crime

And for that I lost my reputation and life

For I smoked that joint with those kids

And slit my wrists with the knife

Slept with that guy I barely knew

And backstabbed my best-friend

Lost all trust with my parents

And the lies I say, never seem to end

And I know I've made my mistakes

And done so many wrongs

But please just hear me out

As I sing you this song

I don't want sympathy

Or attention from any of you

I just want forgiveness for the mistakes

And for the pain I put you all through

So if you can find it in your heart

To take a second and just listen to me

As I sing this song of my mistakes

Of all the things I never again want to be

Just please forgive the girl you once knew

And give me a second chance to prove to you

That I can be better than that girl you once saw

And I'll change my old self to a new

Yes, I know I've made my mistakes

And done so many wrongs

But please hear me out

As I sing you this song....
