Part 1: Nothing

by KelseyinWonderland   Dec 2, 2006

I want to know why life hurts.
Why people die. Why we always cry.
Why it's so hard to move on.
Even when you know he's gone.
And why you just want to give up. And you've had enough.
But they won't let you, the people or person that loves you.
Catches you when you try to fall off the face of the earth.
And life pieces itself together again. And you feel whole again.
The feeling begins. all over again.
When love lays down and dies.
In front of your eyes.
And closes you out. Without a doubt.
It's truly over.
Numb.
It's what you become.
Fade in Fade out. Try to shout.
Bury yourself in memory.
Falling free.
Through the abyss.
You nearly miss.
Through the void so dark.
You slowly fall apart.
Close your eyes.
say your goodbyes.
And then your world dies, along with you.
Turn on the truth.
The time has come. Time to run.
Heartbeats pound in your ears.
Drown out your fears.
Replaced with screams.
Such fragile dreams.
Burn through your soul.
Creates a darkened hole.
Where your heart belongs.
To sing its songs.
And hold you so tight.
Alone in the night.
Secure in your world of lies.
It's no surprise.
Fight with your might and win or lose.
You can choose.
But it's really no use.
Crash and burn. for all you yearn.
Death percolates.
The solemn fates. Close the gates.
You don't belong.
Outcast all along.
But all along you knew.
And didn't except the truth.
Douse the lights.
for later nights.
And feel free to breathe.
The soothing scene.
The ground will shake.
And you will take.
The fallen leaves. From fallen trees.
Victim hearts. Play the parts.
Victim lives. Razorblades and knives.
Crimson joy, crimson pain.
It's all the same.
The banner pleads. Love to exceed.
And why we cry and why we die.
Will be the lie.
Because life always hurts.

Thanks to both of you. Your comments mean the world to me. I've been writing since I was 9 but I never shared my work with anybody. Mostly because I write alot of depressing poems and my family would probably disapprove but I'm glad that people on here accept it. Most of what I write just comes off the top of my head so sometimes it might not sound as good as some of my other work. Good luck to all aspiring writers and never give up on yourself!!!
